Celebrating Faithful to Nature's B Corp Recertification

We are proud to share that Faithful to Nature has been recertified as a B Corp, and this time, we’ve earned an even higher score than our previous assessment.

December 17, 2025

Since our start in 2006, Faithful to Nature has always believed that business can and should be a force for good. This milestone not only strengthens our mission but also reaffirms our deep commitment to transparency, sustainability, integrity, and people-focused values.

It’s a moment to reflect on why we do what we do, celebrate how far we’ve come, and remind ourselves to keep striving for even better.

What it means to be a B Corp

Awarded by B Lab Africa, the B Corp Certification is one of the world’s most respected standards for ethical and sustainable businesses. Being a B Corp means that a company meets high standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. This covers everything from employee benefits and charitable giving to supply chain practices and sourcing.

How the certification process works

To become a B Corp, a company must

  1. Demonstrate strong social and environmental performance by completing the B Impact Assessment, scoring 80 or higher, and passing a risk review.
  2. Make a legal commitment to consider all stakeholders, not just shareholders, in decision-making.
  3. Be transparent and share performance results publicly on the company’s B Corp profile on B Lab’s website.

B Corp certification is not permanent.Companies must recertify every three years by updating their B ImpactAssessment to show they’re still meeting these standards, and ideally, raising the bar.

Our score this year

Faithful to Nature has been B Corp certified since 2021. In our most recent B Impact Assessment, we earned an overall score of 84.9. To put that in perspective, the median score for ordinary businesses that complete the assessment is 50.9.

This score reflects our continuous effort to improve our practices, refine our operations, and uphold the values that have guided us from the very beginning.

Why B Corp matters in today’s retail landscape

Customers are becoming increasingly conscious about their choices. They want more than just products, they want to support businesses that genuinely care about people and the planet. For retailers, B Corp is a growing standard that signals transparency, trust, and accountability. It also encourages the wider industry to consider the social and environmental impact of their decisions, proving that a company can be responsible and profitable at the same time.

The certification also brings real benefits, including:

●     Building trust with customers, communities, and suppliers

●     Attracting and retaining purpose-driven employees

●     Drawing investors aligned with the company’s mission

●     Encouraging continuous improvement, which strengthens long-term resilience

Why B Corp matters to us

For Faithful to Nature, being a B Corp is more than a badge, it’s a reaffirmation of our values in action. It shows how we put our commitments into practice every day, through supply chain transparency, ingredient integrity, reducing our environmental impact, and prioritising people over profit.

This certification confirms our purpose-driven mission, measures our impact against global standards, and holds us accountable to continuous improvement. It also signals to our customers that we are serious about walking the talk on sustainability and ethics.

Most importantly, this achievement belongs to every team member, supplier, and customer who believes in using business asa force for good. It’s a shared accomplishment that reflects the collective effort of our whole community.

Looking ahead

B Corp isn’t a finish line, it’s a compass guiding us as we grow. This recertification motivates us to continue raising the bar and leading the way in ethical, sustainable retail.

Our mission remains clear: to make it easy for South Africans to shop consciously, knowing that their choices support people, communities, and the planet. This milestone shows that purpose and profit can go hand in hand, and we’re incredibly proud to be part of a global community proving every day that business can be a powerful force for change.
